Bruntingthorpe has been home to a growing colleciton of Post War jets since the 1980s. A collection owned by various enthusiasts who, along with an eager group of volunteers, lovingly maintain and taxi these amazing relics. The collection boasts nearly 40 aircraft including the only Boeing Super Guppy in the UK, Polish TS11 Iskra, Jet Provosts, two Lightnings of the Lightning Preservation Group, Blackburn Buccaneers, De Havilland Comet and the mighty Handley Page Victor.

Every year the gates are opened to the public, who come in their thousands, to view these impressive aircraft being seen in their element - fast taxiing along Bruntingthorpe's enormous runway. Watch the aircraft and meet the enthusiasts who keep these amazing aircraft servicable, and enjoy the noise and atmosphere of the Cold War Jets Collection Open Day.
