Every September a group of microlights from Wickenby set out on a cross country journey that takes them from the flat lands of Lincolnshire, across the beautiful landscape of the UK to the heart of France for the Blois Microlight Show - weather permitting!
In 2004 the conditions were perfect and 10 microlights, accompanied by a GA support crew, took off on a journey that would cover 768 nautical miles, taking over 15 hours to complete.
The group included four Thruster T600N Sprints, one Xair, one C42 Ikarus, two Quantum 912s, one Blade, a Quik - and as back up a Cessna 150 and Cherokee 6.
